Nov. & Dec. Student of the Month
Madisonville Community College has recognized Hannah Corbin as the November 2022 Student of the Month. Corbin is a dual-enrolled Murray State University and Madisonville Community College student and is pursuing a career in education. Additionally, she is a math and science tutor in The Learning Space. PJ Woodside, The Learning Space Coordinator, nominated Hannah for this honor.
Hannah is described as a passionate and eager student. She took on an additional roll this semester as a Peer Guide for MAT 150 and created tutor-training videos on topics so that other tutors could better assist their students. On top of being a full-time student and tutor, Hannah runs her own clothing business and leads a fitness class.
Haley Hopper (below) was recognized as the December 2022 Student of the Month. Hopper, an Interdisciplinary Childhood Education major, was nominated by Ms. April Grace, Professor/IECE Program Coordinator.
When describing Haley, Ms. Grace stated “She continuously gives 110% every day to her studies. She is a staple amongst her peers, always willing to help others understand concepts they may not have been able to get otherwise”. Hopper is currently employed in her field of study while attending classes in the evening and online.
