James Bowles Retires After 31 Years at MCC

After 31 years of dedicated service, Madisonville Community College proudly celebrates the retirement of James Bowles, whose career was defined by a commitment to student success, community engagement, and service. Throughout his time at MCC, James served in several roles, most recently as Coordinator of Campus & Community Engagement, leaving a lasting impact on the college and the communities it serves.

From supporting student organizations like the Christian Community Network and the Multicultural Student Association to helping create meaningful experiences through GLAD Camp and other campus initiatives, James' leadership touched countless lives.

A retirement reception was held on June 30, 2026, to celebrate James and his family as they embark on this exciting new chapter. Community members, students, faculty, staff, family, and friends gathered to share stories, reflect on cherished memories, and express their gratitude for the lasting impact he has made over the past 31 years.
