Dr. Mike Shifflett Retires After 36 Years

Madisonville Community College recently celebrated the retirement of Dr. Mike Shifflett, Astronomy and Physics Professor, recognizing his remarkable 36 years of dedicated service to the college.

A retirement reception was held on Thursday, August 13, bringing together colleagues, friends, and members of the MCC community to celebrate Dr. Shifflett and his years of contributions to the college. The gathering was filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and stories reflecting the many memories created throughout his career.

For more than three decades, Dr. Shifflett has played an important role in the MCC community, inspiring students through his work in astronomy and physics and making a lasting impact on the campus.
