The college you are teaching for is committed to providing regular professional development
opportunities to concurrent enrollment instructors. At a minimum, you’ll attend a
dual credit orientation that covers information specific to your discipline. You’ll
also likely engage in professional development topics such as library services, admissions
standards, assessments and student-led active learning projects.
Your college will provide you with:
- An instructor copy of the textbook for the course
- A sample syllabus, including the course outline and dual credit policies
- Your KCTCS username and employee ID
- Access to KCTCS email
- Contact information for IT help
- Student learning outcomes (tools and documentation process)
- Assessments
- Contact information for a discipline-specific faculty member at the college
