Revving Up the Workforce Conference November 10

The I-69 Industry Alliance in partnership with Madisonville Community College s (MCC) Workforce Solutions presents Revving up the Workforce on Thursday, November 10, from 8 am. 3 p.m. at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts (2000 College Drive, Madisonville, KY). Focusing on the essential skills challenging our workforce, this conference will provide industry employers with information about the necessary resources to improve employee behaviors and morale.

Josh Davies, CEO of the Center for Work Ethic Development, will present the keynote address titled Giving Employers What They Want: Work Ethic and will deliver a breakout session on Work Ethic: Making Common Sense Become Common Practice. Training Magazine recently names Davies as one of the top 10 trainers under 40 in America and the Denver Business Journal tapped him as one of Denver s 40 under 40. The full day conference will also include a panel discussion on the State of the Workforce, breakout sessions, and a luncheon presentation.

The idea for the Revving up the Workforce conference came from the 2015 Kentucky Chamber report that stated 27% of Kentucky s Workforce challenge is that employers have trouble finding people with good soft skills. The conference topics address workforce ethics and essentials skills that are key to the future of your business, community, and region.

The early bird registration rate of $69 (includes lunch) ends on October 31. For more information or to register, contact the MCC Workforce Solutions department at 270-824-8658.
