NURSING SKILLS ASSISTANT I COURSE BEGINS OCTOBER 21 AT MCC MUHLENBERG COUNTY CAMPUS

Students interested in earning a nurse aide certification or who are pursuing enrollment in the MCC nursing program still have time to register for the NAA100 Nursing Assistant Skills course offered at Madisonville Community College s (MCC) Muhlenberg Campus. The course begins on Tuesday, October 21 and ends on Thursday, December 11. Class times are 9 a.m. 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 201. Tammy Johnson is the instructor.

The NAA 100 course will give students the opportunity to complete a certificate credential and enter the workforce for immediate employment. It provides knowledge and skills for nurse aides to assume the role and responsibility required in a long term care setting. The focus is communication, infection control, safety, resident/patient rights, and basic nursing skills. NAA 100 is also a pre-requisite for the college s Integrated Nursing program.

For more information about enrollment, contact Student Affairs Specialist Penny Jessup at the Muhlenberg County Campus (270) 757-9881.
