MUHLENBERG COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL PLTW STUDENTS VISIT MCC

Students from Muhlenberg County High School s Project Lead the Way (PLTW) visited Madisonville Community College on Monday, December 8. Faculty members Mike Deal and Matt Luckett in the college s Advanced Integrated Technology program guided the students in hands-on activities during a Motor Control/PLC lab session.

Students attending from Allen Hunley s PLTW Engineering III class were: Daniel Boswell, Ryan Brewer, Cameron Clark, Triston Cottrell, Roman Dahl, Kirby Davis, Tristan Goff, Cole Greenwalt, Makayla Griffith, Austin Grogan, Nicholas Hope, Jacob Jarvis, Mason Jessup, Chandler Johnson, Zachary Lindsey, Joseph McCay-Gomez, Zachary Moore, Stewart Nelson, Joseph Reed, Hunter Rose, Carlee Shepherd, Wes Snodgrass, Joseph Travis and Caleb Wester.

Project Lead the Way is a problem based contextual learning curriculum that seeks to create dynamic partnerships with schools and industry in order to prepare an increasing and more diverse group of students for success in engineering and engineering technology programs. PLTW is about more than just science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It s about learning real skills, solving real problems, and making real discoveries about the world.
