Madisonville Community College to Hold Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Madisonville, Kentucky - Madisonville Community College will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening for the new Steve Beshear Center for Postsecondary Education on the North Campus on Monday, June 4, at 2:00 p.m. Former Governor Steve Beshear will be present for the event.

The Beshear Center houses all the programs of the Murray State University - Madisonville Regional Campus, the MCC Bookstore, and provides a state-of-the-art learning environment for adult students.

Local funds exceeding $5 million dollars for the project were raised by the college and the community through the BuildSmart capital campaign. BuildSmart is a public-private partnership that provides funding for construction and renovation projects in KCTCS, created during Governor Beshear’s administration.
