MCC Honors Bart Allen and Connie Harralson with NISOD Excellence Award

Madisonville, Kentucky - Madisonville Community College recently recognized Bart Allen, mining faculty, and Connie Harralson, human resources assistant, with the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award.

Award recipients’ Bart Allen and Connie HarralsonThe NISOD Excellence Awards were established in 1991 to provide member colleges with an opportunity to recognize individuals doing extraordinary work on their campuses. Since then, more than 25,000 recipients have been honored with the Award by their colleges. Excellence Award recipients are celebrated during NISOD’s annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence held in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Kelley commented on the awards, “We are so proud to honor Connie and Bart for their contribution to the college, our community, and our students. They represent the best of MCC and serve as committed champions of student success.”

Allen has been a member of the faculty at MCC since 2013 as the program coordinator of the mining technology program. Bart volunteers for various initiatives at the college to promote student access and engagement. Connie joined the college in 1991 and has worked in ETS, payroll, and human resources. She is an active sponsor of the college’s Baptist Campus Ministry.
