"Women in Technology" Presentation Planned for Women's History Month

Madisonville Community College invites the community to join in celebrating Women s History Month with a special presentation, Women in Technology, on Thursday, March 27. Guest speaker Pam Jacobsen, ETCM (US Navy, Ret.) will be sharing her experiences as a female electronics technician in the US Navy, her involvement in the 1987 near fatal boating accident off the coast of Somalia in the Indian Ocean, and her assignment to the USS Cole and its attack by terrorists in the port of Aden, Yemen in 2000.

The presentation will begin at 12:15 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room (1st floor/John H. Gray Building). Master Chief (Retired) Jacobsen will be moderating a roundtable discussion on women s issues beginning at 1 p.m. for the Women s Studies class in room 229/JHG.
