WKU Transfer Opportunity for MCC Business Students

MCC AND WKU OFFER BUSINESS STUDENTS OPPORTUNITIES TO EARN A FOUR-YEAR BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION DEGREE ONLINE

Madisonville Community College (MCC) students interested in earning a four-year business administration degree should consider a new opportunity available to Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) transfer students through the Western Kentucky University (WKU) College of Business s online Plus 2 Business Administration Program. MCC students who complete their associate degree and required pre-requisite courses with a minimum 2.50 GPA are eligible to participate in the program; those that have a 3.75 GPA will qualify for a $4,000 annual scholarship, renewable provided students maintain a 3.25 GPA while enrolled at WKU.

MCC s Transfer Advisor Lori Johnson shares, This is an exciting opportunity for our students interested in a business career. Our college s business program is undergoing a major curriculum revision to ensure students are prepared for the challenges of a 21st century business career and completion of a four-year business degree. WKU offers a very attractive and viable pathway for students who want to challenge themselves. Many MCC general education and business classes can be taken online to better accommodate students busy schedules.

More information about the WKU program can be found on the university s website at http://www.wku.edu/cohort/plus2business/. Hannah King, an academic advisor and recruiter at WKU, adds, MCC students should also consider enrolling in the Joint Enrollment program that WKU and MCC offers so that they can take advantage of the advising services and other benefits WKU offers its students before applying for the Plus 2 Business Administration Program. The Plus 2 plan offers students an excellent opportunity to complete a competitive four-year business program at a very affordable cost by taking advantage of low tuition costs at the community college and earning scholarships at WKU.
