VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT TO PREPARE INCOME TAX RETURNS IN MUHLENBERG COUNTY

The Green River Asset Building Coalition (GRABC) is looking for volunteers to assist qualifying persons with the preparation of their state and federal income tax returns during the approaching tax season. This will be the first year for the program to be offered in Muhlenberg County and is a FREE tax service provided to local residents. The tax preparation program will take place for 2 3 hours in the evenings and will be located in the Learning Space at the Muhlenberg County Campus of Madisonville Community College in Central City.

Volunteer training will be provided by GRABC for the following positions: greeter/assistant, basic tax preparer, advanced tax preparer, and quality reviewer. Several training sessions will be available throughout the months of December and January. All volunteers must have completed training by January 15.
