Richard and Phyllis Frymire Recognized as MCC Benefactors for 2016

Madisonville Community College s (MCC) President Dr. Cindy Kelley is pleased to announce the recognition of Richard and Phyllis Frymire as MCC s benefactors by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) for 2016. These special friends were recognized at the annual KCTCS Celebration of Philanthropy Awards Dinner on Saturday, October 1, in Louisville. Hundreds of business people and dignitaries from across the Commonwealth attended the event, which provides an opportunity for KCTCS to honor leading individuals, business and foundations for their generous philanthropic and voluntary support to KCTCS.

Mr. and Mrs. Frymire have provided consistent support to Madisonville Community College since 1968, when then-Senate Majority Leader Frymire introduced legislation which authorized the creation of MCC. General and Mrs. Frymire have delivered leadership and financial support to every major capital campaign conducted at MCC. Their generous annual contributions have supported student scholarships, the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts, the Technology and Quality Endowment, and the Diversity Endowment. They also fund annual professional development opportunities for MCC faculty and staff through the Richard and Phyllis Frymire Awards of Excellence. In addition to their financial sustenance, the Frymires have invested considerable time and energy advocating on behalf of Madisonville Community College. MCC President Kelley shared, They are champions of higher education and leaders in the community. MCC is proud to honor Richard and Phyllis Frymire as our 2016 Benefactors of the Year.

Rogers Badgett, Sr. Foundation, and Dr. Dan Martin. The 2015 Benefactors were the City of Madisonville along with Steve Nance and Rhoads and Rhoads, P.S.C.
