MCC PBL WINS TOP AWARDS AT STATE

Madisonville Community College s chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) attended the State Leadership Conference at the University of Pikeville in Pikeville, Kentucky, on March 20-21, 2015. Participants from Kentucky four-year colleges and universities and two-year community colleges were in attendance to sharpen their core business, technical, and presentation skills, to expand their networks, and to participate in more than 53 business and business-related competitive events.

Eight students from Madisonville Community College (MCC) competed at the state level, with six placing first, second, and/or third place in their respective competitions. In addition to the competitive events, students immersed themselves in educational workshops, networked with students from across Kentucky and bonded as an organizational group.

All 1st and 2nd place winners now qualify for the PBL National Leadership Conference to be held in Chicago, IL on June 24-27, 2015.
