MCC OBSERVES MLK DAY

Madisonville Community College s Cultural Diversity Committee and Multicultural Student Association will be observing Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with a special presentation on Thursday, January 15, beginning at 12:20 p.m. in room C90 on the 3rd floor of the John H. Gray Building (North Campus, 2000 College Drive, Madisonville).

Michael Lowery, Dean of Academic Affairs at the College of the Bible in Hopkinsville, will be presenting A Salute to Dr. King and His Impact on the World. A 1969 graduate of Madisonville High School with advanced degrees from Murray State University, Mr. Lowery attended the 1963 march on Washington and heard Dr. King deliver the famous I have a Dream speech, described as one of the most inspiring events. A lifelong educator, Mr. Lowery retired from Hopkins County Schools with more than 30 years of service.

Roshun Radford, Communications Instructor in MCC s Humanities Division, will be performing musical selections during the program.
