MCC Lions Club Community Service Scholarships Awarded

Madisonville Community College students Julie McDaniel and Kimberly Sullivan have been awarded MCC Lions Club Community Service Scholarships in the amount of $900 each.

McDaniel is a Criminal Justice major and anticipates graduating in 2014. In addition to being an MCC Lions Club member, she is also involved with the Multicultural Student Association and is vice president of MCC s Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

Sullivan is a Medical Information Technology major and plans to graduate in spring 2015. She serves as treasurer for VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 5480 and assists with planning various events and fundraising efforts.

Since 2003, the MCC Lions Club has contributed $7,050 to the college s scholarship funds. This enables MCC to offer scholarships from private donations to more students.
