MCC Honoring Native American Heritage Month with Trail of Tears Presentation

The Madisonville Community College Cultural Diversity Committee will be hosting a special event honoring Native American Heritage Month. Alice Murphree, Trail of Tears Association Board of Directors - Kentucky Member, will be sharing information about the Trail of Tears sites in Kentucky and surrounding states. The event will be held on Tuesday, November 15, beginning at 1 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room/John H. Gray Building on MCC s North Campus (2000 College Drive, Madisonville). A light lunch will be served beginning at 12:20 p.m.

The community is invited to attend this informative presentation on a significant event in Native American history, the history of our nation, and of the state of Kentucky.

The event is free and open to the public.
