Madisonville Community College (MCC) Archery Club members Hunter Carlton and Kody Appleby participated in the 2016 United States Intercollegiate (USIAC) Championships tournament held at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California, on May 19-22.

Carlton took 7th place in the Compound Men division and was selected to the All-American Team. Appleby finished 9th in the Compound Men division. Thirteen colleges and 125 archers were represented at the tournament hosted by the U S Collegiate Archery Association (USCA), the governing body for university and college archery in the United States.

Interim Chief Academic Officer Dr. Jay Parrent shared, I am so proud of this team in our inaugural season of competition. Hunter and Kody have performed in an outstanding manner all year. To have an All-American team member this year is beyond expectations. We are so proud of Hunter and Kody not just for their efforts but how they represent the college. I look forward to what these guys and our new members will do next year.
