Author Kristen Iversen to Speak on March 25

Madisonville Community College invites the community to hear author Kristen Iversen speak at a free event on Tuesday, March 25, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts. Iversen s book, Full Body Burden, was the text selected for MCC s Common Reader project which consists of faculty in different courses across different disciplines using a common reading to provide an enrichment experience for students and to facilitate active learning and critical thinking activities.

Full Body Burden is the story of her life in the shadow of Rocky Flats nuclear weaponry facility in Colorado and the devastating power of family and government secrets.
