2014 GRADUATION CEREMONIES ANNOUNCED

Madisonville Community College (MCC) is pleased to announce the 2014 graduation ceremony scheduled for Friday, May 9th, at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts. The first ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. and will honor Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Nursing program graduates. Audrey L. Martin, a December 2013 MCC graduate, will be the commencement speaker. The second ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m. and will honor Associate in Applied Science and diploma graduates. Dylan Melton, current MCC and August 2014 graduate, will be the commencement speaker.

Graduation is always an exciting time for students and the college. This year s graduates have performed exceptionally well while at the college. Many have secured high wage jobs already or have made plans to transfer to a four-year college or university, shared Dr. Jay Parrent, Chief Student Affairs Officer. It is anticipated that 170 graduates will participate in the May 9th ceremonies and MCC expects to award approximately 1,200 credentials for the 2013-2014 academic year.

The community is invited to attend the graduation ceremonies and celebrate the accomplishments of our students.
