MCC ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEMBERS

Madisonville Community College President Dr. Judith L. Rhoads is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert W. Brooks to the college s Board of Directors. Mr. Brooks was appointed by Governor Steve Beshear to a 5 year term. He is Vice President of the Dr. Loman C. Trover Medical Education and Research Center at Baptist Health Madisonville.

Board members Michael K. Farris and Christopher Shawn Noffsinger were reappointed by Governor Beshear for 5 year terms. Mr. Farris is a retired educator from Webster County. Mr. Noffsinger operates Noffsinger Physical Therapy in Muhlenberg County. Also joining the Board of Directors for the 2014-2015 academic year is MCC s Student Government Association President Cierra Gonzales.

Other Board members currently serving are Dr. Alan J. Thorner, Chair (Madisonville), Bonita Hatfield, Vice Chair (Marion), Gary E. Carver (Central City), and Cheryl D. Moore (Madisonville). Felecia Johnson, Professor of Business Administration, serves as the Faculty Representative and Michael Johnson, Dean of Business Affairs, serves as the Staff Representative.

The Board meets quarterly and all meetings are open to the public. The next meeting will be November 21 at 5 p.m.
