Garth Gamblin Scholarship
The Garth Gamblin Scholarship was established for persons with disabilities attending Madisonville Community College by The Messenger, Garth Gamblin, and other donors. The scholarship is open to students with a disability who have completed at least one semester at MCC. Applications are due by the end of the first week of classes of the semester applying. The amount of the award to ($500 maximum) will be determined on a case by case basis and is not limited to tuition and books. The scholarship can be awarded to the same student for two semesters and the semesters do not have to be consecutive but a new application is required for the second semester. The committee will take the following factors into consideration: GPA, financial need, and placement scores.
- Applicants must:
- Have a documented disability
- Declare a major
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Submit documentation of disability to the Disability Resource Office
- Be turned in by the end of the first week of classes of the semester applying
