Workforce Assessment

Pre-employment testing increases the odds of employers finding qualified workers for hiring, training, or promotion. Additionally, employers will gain better understanding of each applicant's knowledge.

The MCC Assessment Center offers several different assessment tools to meet your needs. However, if one of our current options, does not suit your needs, please feel free to contact us to create new testing partnerships.

Kentucky Board of Cosmetology

Kentucky Board of Cosmetology Theory exams are offered every second and fourth Wednesday by appointment.

Licensing exams include:

  • Cosmetology Theory
  • Nail Technology Theory
  • Esthetics Theory
  • Instructor Theory

Kentucky Department of Insurance Agent Licensing

We offer computer-based examinations from the Kentucky Department of Insurance Agent Licensing every Tuesday at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Licensing exams include:

  • Adjuster
  • Casualty
  • Health
  • Life
  • Personal Lines
  • Property

Candidates receive test results upon completion of the exam through their Kentucky Online Gateway accounts. All applicants must have a scheduled appointment and a valid, government-issued photo ID to sit for the examination(s).

Pearson VUE

Pearson VUE testing is offered Monday through Friday and includes a variety of testing options including GED, ICC Contractor, CISCO, and many more. For a complete list of exams offered or to schedule, visit Pearson VUE.

ProV

ProV offers a number of licensure and certification exams and is currently offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Candidates may schedule through ProV.

Scantron

Scantron (formerly Castle Worldwide) offers a number of pre-employment exams, licensures and certifications to fit business and industry needs. Currently offered on Mondays and Thursdays, candidates may schedule online through Scantron.

TD Testing

TD Testing is a network of strategic testing locations implemented to assist in providing coverage for the demand of mandatory computerized proctored testing assessments. The testing network provides pre-hire and promotional proctored assessments for several government agencies as well as a vast array of non-government certification programs. These evaluations can include basic cognitive skills, psychological and emotional profiling and other metrics which would be relevant to their position.

WorkKeys Assessments

WorkKeys Assessments include:

  • Applied Math:* Measures the skills people use when they apply mathematical reasoning, critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to work-related problems.

  • Graphic Literacy:* Measures the skills people use when they work with workplace graphics.

  • Workplace Documents:* Measures the skills people use when they read and use written text in order to do a job.

  • Applied Technology: Measures the skills people use when they solve problems with machines and equipment found in the workplace.

  • Business Writing:
  • Observation: Measures the skills people use when they pay attention to and remember work-related instructions, demonstrations and procedures.

  • Talent: Use it to predict characteristics such as cooperation, discipline, influence and stability.

  • Fit: Find out job applicants interests and values to determine the fit between a candidate and occupations in an organization

    *Tests required for the nationally recognized Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

National Occupational Competency Testing Institute

NOCTI industrial tests are designed to measure an individuals knowledge of competencies related specifically to industrial occupations. As with the Experienced Worker tests, these tests are intended for evaluating individuals with a combination of education, training and work experience.

NOCTI offers more than 70 standardized occupational assessments as well as customized testing. Some Test Categories include: Industrial Electricity, General Maintenance, Industrial Electronics, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Electricity/Electronics, Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical/Electronics Maintenance, Welding General Industrial/Mechanical.

Bennett Mechanical Test

The Bennett Mechanical Test measures mechanical aptitude.

Wonderlic Personnel Test

The Wonderlic Personnel Test is a 12 minute assessment that measures a variety of basic skills.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assesses personality types for leadership development, personnel management, team-building, and other situations
