Workforce Transitions Admissions Requirements

The following steps must be completed to be admitted to MCC as a Workforce Transitions student.

Complete the MCC Admission Application

MCC Admission Applications can be printed from the Admissions Guidelines page.

Submit official high school transcripts or GED scores

Transcripts/GED scores should be sent to MCC Records, 2000 College Drive, Madisonville, KY 42431.

Register for classes

For registration information or to schedule an advising appointment, students should contact Candace McPherson at candace.mcpherson@kctcs.edu or (270) 824-1998.

All students planning to attend Madisonville Community College are required to take the TABE/KYOTE assessment unless ACT scores exempt them.

Students who do not meet minimum scores on any or all the ACT sections of English (minimum score of 18), reading (20), and/or math (19) will be required to take the TABE/KYOTE assessment for appropriate course placement.

The first TABE/KYOTE assessment is free. If you have taken the TABE/KYOTE assessment within the past five years, you will be charged $10.00 per section to retake individual sections or $20.00 to retake the entire assessment. To register for the TABE/KYOTE, contact the MCC Enrollment Center (270/824-8657) or (270/824-1777).

Complete the FAFSA

You may be eligible to receive financial aid or scholarships. If you re interested in seeing what you can receive, you must fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at http://fafsa.ed.gov.
