Biomedical Equipment Technician Workshop

MCC will be hosting two individual workshop sessions on June the 12th for those who may have a desire to become a biomedical equipment technician. Biomedical equipment technicians repair and maintain all types of medical equipment and systems such as those found in hospitals, clinics, dialysis treatment centers, diagnostic imaging centers, and in households where medical equipment is utilized. The first workshop session is from 10 a.m. to noon and is intended for those that have graduated from high school or have earned their GED. The second workshop session is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and is intended for those still enrolled in high school. Details of both sessions are provided below.

SESSION #1

Date: Friday, June the 12th

Time: 10 a.m. to noon

Location: Room 137 of the Brown Badgett, Sr. Energy and Advanced Technology Center

Cost: Free

Audience: Those who have graduated from high school or have earned their GED

Madisonville Community College will be conducting a free, hands-on workshop event to those who may have an interest in pursuing a career as a Biomedical Equipment Technician. Biomedical Equipment Technicians service and repair all types of medical equipment and medical systems and work in such settings as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers, and for home medical equipment companies just to name a few. The workshop session will be held on Friday, June the 12th in Room 137 of the Brown Badgett, Sr. Energy and Advanced Technology Center located on the North (main) Campus of Madisonville Community College from 10 a.m. to noon. During the workshop session, participants will build a mini defibrillator circuit that they will get to operate and test at the end of the session.
