Madisonville Community College (MCC) is proud to announce the selection of Vincent
Wilson as a participant in the 2015 McCall Leadership Academy (MLA). Wilson now joins
the ranks of an elite team of leaders who represent the best of the Kentucky Community
and Technical College System (KCTCS).
Wilson shared, This is a great opportunity that will help me grow professionally
in my career and enable me to learn more about higher education. By being a part of
the MLA class of 2015, I hope to gain an even greater knowledge of issues facing community
colleges. I also hope to partner with other participants across KCTCS to help discuss
issues that have an impact on two year colleges and our system. After completing the
academy, I want to be able to use the knowledge to help educate and empower colleagues
at KCTCS, MCC, and the communities we serve." As an admissions advisor for MCC, Wilson
is a familiar face at local high schools and college recruitment events.
The primary goals of the leadership academy are to promote and strengthen leadership
in and among KCTCS faculty and staff and to advance the colleges and the System s
strategic agenda. Participants will attend several classes/seminars as well as participate
on system-wide teams/committee projects (when available).
