Lisa Lee Receives Kentucky Association of Teacher Educators Distinguished Educator Award
Madisonville, Ky. – Lisa Lee, professor of education at Madisonville Community College, was recently awarded the Kentucky Association of Teacher Educators (KATE) Distinguished Educator Award.
The KATE Distinguished Educator Award was created and designed to recognize outstanding professional educators who have made significant contributions to the educational community in Kentucky. To be selected for the award, nominees must demonstrate extensive experience within the educational community in Kentucky, significant contribution to teacher preparation programs, professional integrity, and involvement in professional organizations.
Lee has been a member of the faculty at Madisonville Community College (MCC) since 2002. Prior to that role, she was a teacher in the Hopkins County school system. Lee is a graduate of Madisonville Community College and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Kentucky University. She currently serves as the faculty representative on the college’s Board of Directors, as a member of the Education Professional Standards Board audit committee, and as a field examiner for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation.
