POTTS AND DONAHOO NAMED TO KCTCS ALL-KENTUCKY ACADEMIC TEAM

Madisonville Community College students Ashton Donahoo and Alexzandria Potts have been named to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) All-Kentucky Academic Team. Each received a $500 scholarship in recognition of their academic achievement.

Donahoo, of Madisonville, is currently pursuing an Associate in Applied Science degree in the Medical Laboratory Technician program. An honors graduate from Hopkins County Central High School, she has been on the MCC Dean s List each semester. She juggles her full-time college load while working at Baptist Health Madisonville as a Medical Assistant and at the YMCA Hanson Afterschool Camp. Donahoo anticipates continuing her education upon graduation from MCC.

Potts, of Princeton, will be graduating from MCC on May 6 with an Associate in Arts degree. She plans to transfer to Murray State University in the fall to pursue a major in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. Potts is also the recipient of the Owen Badgett scholarship and has been listed on the MCC Dean s list each semester. She is involved in Phi Theta Kappa and has assisted MCC Psychology Professor Dr. Mary Janssen with various psychology experiments.

Donahoo and Potts along with MCC students Courtney Gentry and Rachel Hardesty were also named to the All-USA Academic Team, a national recognition of the top community college students in the nation.
