MCC STUDENTS EARN NATIONAL RECOGNITION AT HOSA LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Madisonville Community College students Staci Collinsworth, Cassandra Davis, and Hannah Simmons attended the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) 38th annual national leadership conference on June 23-27 at the Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim, California.

Collinsworth of Madisonville took 1st place in the nursing assisting competition at the national conference. Davis of Dixon ranked in the top ten in clinical specialty, and Simmons of Madisonville placed in the top ten for job seeking skills. All three qualified to attend the national conference by earning first place in their respective competitions at the March Kentucky State Leadership Conference held in Louisville.

Davis and Simmons also served as Kentucky HOSA postsecondary voting delegates. The HOSA national leadership conference was attended by more than 8,550 individuals and included presentations by IBM s Global Director of Healthcare Transformation Dr. Paul Grundy and author Dr. Sampson Davis.
