MCC Represented at Governor's Prayer Breakfast

Kristen Robertson, a sophomore at the Muhlenberg County Campus of Madisonville Community College (MCC), was nominated by college officials for her leadership in the CROSS student organization to represent MCC at the Governor s Prayer Breakfast on March 13 held at the state capitol.

The 19 year-old Robertson, who plans to graduate with an Associate of Arts Degree in education from MCC in May before transferring to Western Kentucky University to complete her bachelor s in education program, was excited to be part of this program. I met students from all parts of Kentucky who had the same desire of keeping faith a part of our society and giving God the glory for all of our accomplishments.

A 2012 Muhlenberg County High School graduate with dual credit earned from MCC, Robertson had a head start in college. It was special that I was able to take classes with my mother the first year. I am thankful for all the wonderful opportunities that were made available to me. Robertson s mother completed her degree in May 2013 and was nominated for the student of the year award.

Robertson shared this thought from the Governor s Prayer Breakfast, What God gives you is a gift, what you do with it is your gift to God!
