MARCUS ENGEL PRESENTS "THE OTHER END OF THE STETHOSCOPE" - APRIL 23
Madisonville Community College is pleased to announce the presentation of The Other End of the Stethoscope by professional speaker and author Marcus Engel. After being blinded and catastrophically injured by a drunk driver, Mr. Engel endured years of hospitalization, rehab and recovery. Not only did he accept and embrace the challenge, but the life lessons he learned are now the guiding forces that inspire hundreds of thousands every day. He has authored several books including After This: An Inspirational Journey for All the Wrong Reasons, The Other End of the Stethoscope, I m Here: Compassionate Communication in Patient Care and "Everyday Inspiration."Mr. Engel will begin his visit with MCC students and faculty at 9 a.m. with a student session in the Byrnes Auditorium (Hatley Building/MCC Health Sciences Campus). A faculty forum will begin at 12N in the Corporate Training Room of the Brown Badgett, Sr. Energy amp; Advanced Technology Center. Mr. Engel s dramatic story inspires health care professionals to reignite their passion for providing excellent patient care.
