The Muhlenberg County Campus of Madisonville Community College (MCC) is proud to announce that Jennifer Hunt, of Central City, is in our Martin Scholar Spotlight this week. Hunt is a 2014 graduate of MCC, receiving her Associate of Science degree.

During her college experience at MCC, Hunt was a Martin Scholar and shared, The Martin Scholar program gave me a sense of pride. And, I wanted to perform well in college. It gave me the confidence to obtain my degree. I am proud to say I am a Martin Scholar!

Hunt and her mother formed LeeDawn Originals in 2014, a jewelry design team, and has jewelry in an art gallery and several retail locations. Hunt has won several awards, been showcased as a designer, and taught workshops at Jewelry Television.

To be eligible for Martin Scholars, students must be full-time residents of Muhlenberg County, age 25 and older, who have yet to earn a college degree but have successfully completed at least 30 credit hours of regionally accredited college level course work. Additionally, each qualified student who completes his/her Associate Degree at MCC will receive an additional $400 Completion Bonus. The check will also come directly to the student.
