HISTORY OF KENTUCKY COURSE OFFERED AT MCC IN FALL SEMESTER

Those with an interest in Kentucky s rich heritage will enjoy Madisonville Community College s History of Kentucky (HIS 240) class being offered during the fall 2014 semester. Taught by MCC s 2014 Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year Dr. Robin West, the History of Kentucky course focuses on the social, economic, cultural, and political trends of each of Kentucky s regions, along with the growth and development of each.

There is so much to learn about the Bluegrass State, shared Dr. West. In this course we ll explore little known facts about Kentucky history, many of which have great personal interest to our students.

History of Kentucky, a three-credit hour course, will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays (9:30 10:45 a.m.) and starts August 19th. Tuition is currently $144 per credit hour; financial aid is available to those who qualify. Students age 65 and over may qualify for free tuition through the MCC Donovan Scholars Program. The HIS 240 course fulfills MCC s heritage general education requirement.
