Cris Crowley Receives National Certification
Cris Crowley, director of Madisonville Community College's adult education programs in both Hopkins and Muhlenberg counties, has recently become a Certified Manager in Program Improvement (CMPI).This national certification is the first of its kind in the adult education and literacy field and signifies Crowley as a member of an elite group of professional managers.
The certification is offered through the Leadership Excellence Academy, developed by the National Adult Education Professional Development Consortium and ProLiteracy.
To receive this credential, Academy participants must meet the requirements of an intensive two-year training program and complete a program improvement project within their organization.
Kentucky is one of only nine states in which adult educators have achieved this national certification.
