Authors Scott Phillips and Jedidiah Ayers featured at Loman C. Trover Library Reading Series

Madisonville Community College (MCC) invites the community to the Loman C. Trover Library Reading Series for an evening of reading and conversation with Scott Phillips and Jedidiah Ayers. The event will be held on Friday, April 25, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Loman C. Trover Library located in the 2nd floor of the Learning Resource Center on MCC s North Campus (2000 College Drive, Madisonville). The event is free to the public; refreshments will be served.

The stories of St. Louis-based writer Scott Phillips are sometimes violent, sometimes risqu , and almost always darkly humorous. He is the author of many novels, including The Adjustment, Rut, The Ice Harvest, as well as his newest book, Rake. More information about the author can be found at scottphillipsauthor.com.

Jedidiah Ayers has been labeled as one of the most innovative crime writers currently on the scene. His debut novel, Peckerwood (Broken River Books), tells the story of a small-time criminal in small town American setting off a chain of events that leads to big trouble.

Phillips and Ayers are the co-founders of the live reading series, Noir@ the Bar, bringing out some of the best new voices in noir and crime fiction across the country.

The event is presented by the Loman C. Trover Library and the MCC Library Committee and sponsored by the Dr. Jack and Beverly Hamman Family Endowment.
