ADULT EDUCATION: BIG PUSH, BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS, BIG INCENTIVES FOR GED ENROLLMENT IN MUHLENBERG COUNTY

Muhlenberg County, Ky. - Madisonville Community College s ACE Adult Education Program, located in the Career Advancement Center, 50 Career Way in Powderly, is gearing up for a major push in their GED program. ACE is encouraging all of those in Muhlenberg County who have not yet received their high school diploma to sign up for the GED while it is still free. They are also offering free remedial classes and free GED Ready testing at the Career Center.

In addition to free remediation and testing, ACE and the Felix E. Martin Jr. Foundation are now offering cash incentives for those seeking to complete their GED - $50 per completed exam and an additional $50 upon completion of all 4 exams - a total of $250.

To kick-off the new incentive program Muhlenberg County Judge Executive Rick Newman has declared that March is officially GED month in Muhlenberg County.

An Open House will be held on March 18 from 2-6 p.m. at the Career Advancement Center. Food, fun, and door prizes will be awarded to all of those in attendance; attendees will also be given the opportunity to enter for a chance to Spend the Day with the Mayor. One lucky winner will spend a day with Greenville Mayor Jan Yonts and be included in her daily activities in local government.
