Kentucky Community and Technical College (KCTCS) employees have elected two new faculty and staff representatives to the KCTCS Board of Regents. Shawn S. Payne of Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) was elected to serve as the occupational/technical college faculty regent. Mary B. Kinney, also of OCTC, was elected to serve as the non-teaching personnel/staff regent.

Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) President Jay Box today announced Dr. Rhonda Tracy has been named KCTCS chancellor effective April 16.

Due to inclement weather this week and the forecast for another round of snow and ice this weekend many KCTCS colleges and the System Office are rescheduling 2015 Super Sunday events, originally planned for Sunday, February 22.

Kentucky’s public postsecondary two-year system has risen from a fragmented group of technical and transfer-oriented colleges into one of the most comprehensive community and technical college systems in the country, according to a new report by the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS). The report ranks the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) fourth in the nation for total credentials awarded among the nation’s community and technical college systems and fifth in enrollment growth improvement.

On February 22, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System’s (KCTCS) and each of its 16 colleges will partner with churches statewide for Super Sunday, an annual student recruitment initiative specifically targeting African-American and Latino students. This year marks the fifth anniversary for the information fairs that enable KCTCS advocates to connect with prospective college students and their families.

Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) President Jay Box announced today that Wendell Followell has been named vice president. He will oversee the system’s finance, human resources and facilities departments as well as the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services. He replaces Ken Walker, who is retiring January 30.

Dr. Jay Box officially took over the leadership of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) today as the second president of the statewide system of 16 colleges which is nationally recognized as the premier community college system in the nation. As the former KCTCS Chancellor, he announced his vision for the system as being the fulfillment of students’ dreams.

2015 Super Sunday partnerships with African-American and Latino Churches planned statewide

Versailles, Ky. (Jan. 14, 2015) – The Kentucky Community and Technical College System’s (KCTCS) 16 colleges and System Office will observe Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., day by sponsoring or participating in events across the state. In addition, KCTCS is celebrating its fifth annual statewide Super Sunday initiative on Sunday, Feb. 22.

Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) president- elect Dr. Jay Box today announced Dr. George Edwards has been named interim chancellor effective Jan. 26.

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents, during its quarterly meeting today, approved 8,400 (6,408 which are unduplicated) academic credential requests between July 22, 2014, and October 6, 2014.
