Nurse Aide Class Offered at MCC Muhlenberg Campus

NURSE AIDE CLASS OFFERED AT MCC MUHLENBERG CAMPUS

Students interested in earning a nurse aide certification or who are pursuing enrollment in the MCC nursing program still have time to register for the NAA100 – Nursing Assistant Skills course offered at Madisonville Community College’s (MCC) Muhlenberg Campus.  The course will meet during the second bi-term of the spring 2014 semester beginning Tuesday, March 18 and ending on Thursday, May 8.  Class times are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 201.  Tammy Johnson is the instructor.

The NAA 100 course will give students the opportunity to complete a certificate credential and enter the workforce for immediate employment.  It provides knowledge and skills for nurse aides to assume the role and responsibility required in a long term care setting. The focus is communication, infection control, safety, resident/patient rights, and basic nursing skills. NAA 100 is also a pre-requisite for the college’s Integrated Nursing program.

To view a full listing of second bi-term classes, visit the Spring 2014 Late Start Class Schedule on MCC’s website at http://www.madisonville.kctcs.edu/en/Academics/Late_Registration.aspx.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify.  Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2013-2014 academic year.
