Versailles, Ky. (April 22, 2016) — The 16 colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System will honor graduates from the spring and fall semesters in May. Here is a list of commencement plans all across the state.

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) Board of Regents approved a new Associate of Applied Science in Broadband Technology at Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) during its quarterly meeting today. The program is an instrumental initiative designed to improve the economy in the southeastern region of the state that is part of both the KentuckyWired and Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR) initiatives.

Kentucky House leaders and House Appropriations and Revenue Committee Chairman Rick Rand joined with KCTCS President Jay K. Box and other school officials today to unveil far-reaching legislation that, after taking state and federal aid into account, would provide free tuition for graduating high school students attending the state's community and technical colleges. The initiative would be known as the Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship Program.
