Your college success is our ultimate goal at the MCC Learning Centers. Our tutoring and computer services are available free of charge to students participating in KCTCS programs or programs on the MCC campuses in Madisonville and Muhlenberg County. We have locations on the North Campus and the Muhlenberg Campus.
The Learning Centers' trained, qualified tutors range from student peers who excel in specific subject areas to teachers and professionals who hold graduate degrees to a computer assistant to help with course work and technical support. We believe that you can reach your highest potential when you:
Our purpose is to provide academic assistance and motivational support for learners in their efforts to overcome social, economic, and/or personal barriers and in their development of skills and attitudes required for achievement of personal goals.
Successful students use all the resources available to them to achieve their degrees, and the Learning Center is one of those resources. Our tutors know the subject matter, but more importantly, they know how to think critically about study-related issues and will help you learn to do the same.
Our policies and procedures ensure that the Learning Centers are quiet, study-focused areas.
KCTCS colleges provide proctoring services to KCTCS students at no charge. Proctored exams require you to take an examination under the supervision of a proctor who monitors you during the exam period. A proctored exam permits your instructor to limit your access to certain materials such as books, notes, and the Internet and to verify your identity before you take the exam.
