Nursing Divison

Students at Madisonville Community College can choose between the Integrated Nursing Program or two different Nursing Certificates.

 

Integrated Nursing Program

 

The Integrated Nursing program offers students two study options to meet individual needs.

  • The Traditional Option is offered in-person on weekdays provides a seamless educational curriculum in nursing with two exit points allowing you to choose a career as a PN or RN.

  • The Hybrid Option is the same as above except that it is a blend of online and in-person instruction.

Clinical sites for both options are within a 50 mile radius of Madisonville

Once you complete the first year of nursing you can elect to take the PN exit course, NIP 140. This course prepares you to assume the role of a graduate practical nurse. Upon completion, you will receive a diploma and will be eligible to apply for licensure as a practical nurse. Following the successful completion of the second year, you will receive the Associate in Applied Science degree, allowing you to apply for licensure as a registered nurse.
